Big Steps Day, a big success

The inaugural National Big Steps Day was celebrated with events right across the country on November 17th.   Here in Queensland, hundreds of early childhood educators and their supporters descended on Queen Street Mall for a free concert with Bananas in Pyjamas. Despite the stormy weather, the event was a huge success. We started the celebration day by assembling at Kurilpa Park in South Brisbane. Dressed in red and armed with ‘ Big Steps’ balloons, hundreds of parents, educators and children walked to Reddacliff Place for a very special concert. Continue reading
