Back in February, United Voice wrote to Minister for Health and Ambulance services Cameron Dick, asking that the state government find and resource a second station in Hervey bay to keep up with growing demand in the community.
This week, Mr Dick and Maryborough MP Bruce Saunders announced a $3.5million state-of-the-art facility will be built in the region.
This will not only be a great asset to the local community, it will also help our hard working ambulance officers.
I just wanted to say a quick thank you for all the input we’ve had from members on the issue. This is a fantastic win and all United Voice members have played a part in achieving it.
