The ‘Big Steps’ TV ad campaign has made its latest stop in Mackay, with another successful event highlighting issues in the childcare sector.
An enthusiastic crowd gathered at Kookaburra Community Childcare Centre in Andergrove, to view the Big Steps ad, and share in a brunch, face painting, games and balloons.
Centre Director, Angela Watson, was delighted with the turnout, and especially thankful for the support of many parents from the centre. “The ad really makes people think about what they would do if we weren’t there,” Angela said.
The Big Steps ad has been progressively rolled out, and has now screened at primetime for several weeks in Townsville, Cairns, Rockhampton and Mackay.
To coincide with the media attention, United Voice organisers have been visiting every centre in Mackay to make sure everyone hears the Big Steps message.
The campaign needs the support of each and every person to make sure local educators get the pay they deserve, and that they can deliver the best quality care for our children.
