Gillard considers funding boost

We've always known that Australian parents can’t afford to pay more in childcare fees, but that wages in the sector must improve.

Now it's been confirmed the Government has a solution in mind that would fix the problems in the early education system. Right now Prime Minster Gillard is considering a federal funding increase that would allow childcare educators to be paid a professional wage.  But she isn’t yet convinced there is enough public support to make funding childcare a priority. We need your support to convince them. Please sign our petition today. And if you've already signed - why not send it to your friends or post it on Facebook? We can win more funding, and afford to keep the best staff caring for our kids, if we all tell the government it’s something they care about. To provide high quality early childhood education, we need professional rates of pay.
