New union proposal

New union proposal

Members would have received a number of updates around the new union proposal being worked on between United Voice and the National Union of Workers.

Below are the most recent updates if you missed them earlier.

Ambulance State Council have had a number of discussions on the new union proposal and to date are satisfied that the integrity of the ambulance section of the new union  - United Workers Union – will be maintained under any new structures. State Councillors report being excited about the prospect of coming together with an even larger group of like-minded people to make change for working people.

The opportunity to work together across state lines to progress the position of ambulance members nationally means we will be stronger, with a consistent message and a combined effort to win even bigger outcomes.

All members will be given an opportunity to participate in a ballot about the amalgamation of United Voice and the NUW, to endorse a bigger, stronger voice for working people. Until then, please make sure your address and contact details are up-to-date to ensure you receive your ballot papers and have your say. Update your details at membership@unitedvoice.org.au.
