Recent success in achieving Pay Parity for our ambulance members, in line with other Australian states, is proof that collaboration and persistence pays off.
This was a big win for our valued ambulance members, who do a tremendous job out in the community – and deserve the pay recognition.
Together we worked hard to secure a fairer outcome, which includes the introduction of a new pay classification structure. At United Voice we were thrilled to be inundated with so many positive responses to our SMS campaign, which asked ‘What does the pay rise mean to you?’
Feedback ranged from being able to now afford holidays and feeling less financial strain during maternity leave, to being able to work less overtime and spend more time with family, to praise for the dedication of everyone who has been part of this long yet rewarding journey.
